Medical Haiku

Poetry of the body

It is depressing

They want your body

They will get your wisdom teeth

Goodbye appendix

Where did your hair go?

Can’t ignore your hernia

What is a prostate?

I have a tooth ache

But dentistry is a fraud

Will it cure itself?

Thank you for waiting

You did a good job waiting

You can wait in here

You have no symptoms

But I must probe your anus

There is nothing wrong

I have some bad news

You have just three days to live

Wait – Your name is Jones?

Remember your childhood?

Everything we doctors said?

We were wrong back then.
