I’m More Than a Name

I’m more than a name

This is more than a game

Let me explain:

Inside I remain

The child insane

Escape from my brain

So I can attain

More than the mundane

That serves to constrain

And leaves me in pain

I just can’t sustain

This endless refrain

That’s not why I came

I’m more than a name

In a body so plain

I push back the rain

That pulls toward the drain

So don’t preordain

I’m more than a name
